Busoga kingdom launches the 1st edition of the MTN cycling competitions.
Busoga kingdom has today launched the MTN Busoga masaza cycling competition 2022. The inaugural edition will feature 50 participants from each of the 11 chiefdoms, 25 in the local bicycle category and 25 in the sports bicycle category.
The launch was graced by the Busoga kingdom’s second deputy prime minister Owe’kitiibwa Osman Noor who termed the upcoming event as “historical”
“We are here today to launch the MTN Busoga masaza cycling competition 2022. This is an historical event because it’s the first of its kind and I am happy to inform you that all the 11 chiefdoms have confirmed their participation.”
“The competition will start on the 30th of September and we shall go one chiefdom at a time starting with Kigulu, Bunha, and Bugweri respectively.” Busoga kingdom sports minister Owe’kitiibwa Amin Bbosa Nkono added.
Mr. Isaraza Jimmy the MTN regional business manager eastern region believes the long-term partnership between MTN Uganda and the Busoga kingdom will keep paying off.
“After a successful partnership with Busoga kingdom in the Busoga masaza cup, we have decided to continue working with the kingdom in this first-ever bicycle competition.
MTN Uganda is committed to partnering with Busoga kingdom to foster development and unity.
The Busoga masaza cycling competition will always take place on a weekly basis for three days; Friday Saturday and Sunday.
