CAF Announces Recruitment of Workforce Manager for AFCON 2025

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially announced the recruitment of a Workforce Manager to support preparations for the upcoming TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 in Morocco.

As Africa’s greatest sporting event and one of the most celebrated football tournaments worldwide, AFCON 2025 will bring together the continent’s top footballing nations across nine stadiums in six host cities. Delivering such a large-scale competition requires a highly skilled workforce, and CAF is now seeking a dynamic professional to lead its workforce management operations.

Position Details:

Role: Workforce Manager.

Division: Workforce Management.

Duration: September 2025 – January 2026.

Location: Hybrid/Morocco (Based in Rabat from November; travel required).

The Workforce Manager will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and overseeing CAF’s workforce operations, including staff, volunteers, and interns. This role will also oversee the AFCON 2025 Internship Program, designed not only to support tournament-time operations but also to leave a lasting legacy for African football through youth development and professional training.

Key Responsibilities:

Internship Program Management: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance monitoring of interns; manage mentorship sessions and knowledge-sharing workshops; ensure a smooth integration of interns into CAF’s operational departments.

Workforce Planning & Administration: Support the development of CAF’s workforce plan, manage contracts and databases, and ensure logistical arrangements including transport, meals, and accommodation.Engagement & Support: Act as the main point of contact for workforce members, coordinate recognition initiatives, prepare progress reports, and recommend long-term workforce pathways for interns and staff.

Candidate Profile:Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field, along with at least five years of experience in workforce management or large-scale event operations.

CAF is looking for professionals with strong organizational and communication skills, cultural adaptability, and a passion for workforce development. Previous experience in managing internship or volunteer programs will be considered a strong asset.
