Rogers Omedwa to Kitara FC?

Speculation surrounding the potential move of goalkeeper Rogers Omedwa to Kitara FC has surfaced on social media in recent days, but official sources indicate that the transfer is unlikely to materialize.

Omedwa, who previously played for Arua Hill SC before joining URA FC on a two-year contract in July 2023, remains contracted to URA and has not been included in Kitara FC’s recent transfer updates.

Kitara’s summer activity has focused primarily on bolstering their attacking options, with signings such as Umar Lutalo, Rogers Mugisha, and Fred Amaku already confirmed for the current Uganda Premier League 2025-2026 season.

Reports earlier linked Omedwa with BUL FC following his departure from Arua Hill, but no credible sources have connected him to Kitara FC’s plans.

Club insiders also declined to comment on the rumors when approached by local media.

As the transfer window approaches its final weeks, Kitara FC continues preparations for the second round of the league campaign, while URA FC is expected to retain Omedwa as part of their goalkeeping unit unless an official bid is tabled.

At this stage, the rumors of Omedwa joining Kitara FC appear speculative, with no confirmed negotiations between the player and the Hoima-based club.
