Express fc edges out KCCA fc 1-0.
Express FC produced a stunning display of skill and determination to claim a well-deserved victory over their city rivals KCCA FC in the highly anticipated Kampala derby, which took place on Saturday at the MTN Omondi Stadium.
The Red eagles won 1-0 against KCCA fc through their captain wasswa Emmanuel who scored in the first half of the game.
Emmanuel Wasswa who was a former player at KCCA fc scored a brilliant goal through Richard Basangwa’s assist and this gave them a lead in the game.
Sadat Anaku had a great start of the game when he almost scored a goal in the ninth minute of the game but his effort failed.
Mustafa Mujuzi almost leveled the score after Express fc had scored its first goal but Emmanuel Kalyowa the goalkeeper denied him the chance.
In the final minutes, Express fc stayed calm till the last minute of the game leaving them with three points and a win away from home.
KCCA fc remains winless in the last four games. They are now in the fourth place with 19points while Express fc has climbed to the third place with also 19points.
The two teams will be back in action next week when Express fc will host URA fc while KCCA fc will travel to face Wakiso Gaints fc.
The other game that was played was between Vipes fc and Soltilo Bright starts that ended 2-1 and vipers fc earned the three points.
