Senegal U17 Cruise Past Guinea 3–0 to Book U17 AFCON Place

Senegal’s U17 national team have secured their place at the next U17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco after a commanding 3–0 victory over Guinea Conakry in the semi-final of the UFOA A U17 Tournament in Senegal.

The Young Lions started brightly and took the lead in the 14th minute through Moussa Ndiaye, who put Senegal in front and gave them control of the contest.

Guinea struggled to find a response as Senegal remained disciplined and dangerous going forward. The Young Lions eventually doubled their advantage late in the game when Souleymane C. Faye found the net in the 84th minute.

With Guinea chasing a way back into the match, Senegal delivered the final blow in stoppage time. Cheikh Thior scored in the 90+1st minute to complete a convincing 3–0 victory.

The result sends Senegal through to the UFOA A U17 final and, more importantly, confirms their qualification for the 2026 U17 AFCON finals in Morocco.

The Young Lions now have one final hurdle to overcome as they look to finish the tournament as champions on home soil.
