KCCA FC has announced the signing of talented defender Gavin Kizito Mugweri, who joins the club on a two-year contract, keeping him at Lugogo until the end of the 2025/26 season.

The 21-year-old brings versatility and defensive prowess to the squad, being comfortable in both right-back and center-half positions. Kizito joins from SC Villa, where he recently played a key role in their triumphant 2023/24 StarTimes Uganda Premier League-winning campaign. His prior experience also includes a stint with Egyptian side Al Ittihad, which further refined his skills and leadership abilities.
Gavin Kizito is no stranger to leadership, having captained Uganda’s U20 men’s national team to the final of the 2021 AFCON U20 Championship in Mauritania. He has progressed through all the youth ranks, including the U17, U20, and U23 levels, and has also earned caps for the senior Uganda Cranes.

Speaking to the KCCA FC website, Kizito shared his excitement about the move: “I feel so excited and happy to join KCCA FC. I have an ambition to help the club win trophies together with my fellow players. I am thankful to the club board, management, and Head Coach for granting me this opportunity, and I will repay their faith in me.”
