Kawempe Muslims Crowned Champions of the 2023-24 Fufa Women Super League at the Valley.
Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC claimed the 2023/24 FUFA Women Super League title over immediate rivals and defending champions Kampala Queens FC on the final day of the season at the Valley.
A joy to watch Agnes Nabukenya found the back of the net with a precisely taken free kick in the 67th minute to give the valley worrier an important lead to sending the mammoth crowd into a frenzy.
Later, Substitute Allen Nassaazi extended Kawempe’s lead by heading the ball past Queens goalkeeper Daisy Nakaziro, Securing a 2-0 victory at the Kawempe Muslim Playground on Sunday as the hosts clinched their fifth league title.
This is the fifth League title for Kawempe Muslim in history, but their first since the name changed to FUFA Women Super League in 2019.
This victory took Kawempe Muslim to 40 points while Kampala Queens stopped at 36 points in a match full of chances for the queens but couldn’t salvage the much needed win to defend the league title.

A good turnout of fans from different spheres gathered at the famous Valley to witness the thrilling conclusion of a tightly contested season.
Kampala Queens will turn heads to the 5th edition of the Fufa Women’s Cup as they take on Rivals She Corporates on Saturday, 1st June. Kawempe will look forward to a season double as they take on Byafayo Queens at the Quarter Finals stage.
Kawempe will then represent Uganda at the CECAFA Zonal CAF women champions League next season.
