Kitara , Lugazi Share points in Goalless Draw.

The Uganda Premier League encounter between Kitara FC and Lugazi FC ended a goalless draw 0-0 that was played at the Royals Park at Butema.

Kitara and Lugazi aimed to turn their fortunes around, having recently suffered a 2-1 loss and a 2-2 draw respectively in their previous games.

Kitara dominated the early stages, but despite chances, they couldn’t score, as Kaddu’s effort was stopped by Mutebi and Otti’s header went wide.

As the second half, had kicked off, a heavy rain poured down at the stadium made the condition slippery prompting both teams to long – ball tactics.

Mungudit’s powerful shot for Lugazi was well saved by Farouk, and Mutebi’s stoppage-time save from Byaruhanga was crucial.

Kitara FC remains in the 5th position with 36 points while Lugazi FC sit in the 11th place with 28 points.

In the other games that were played Wakiso Gaints who are fighting in the relegation zone ended a goalless draw with Bright Stars 0-0 who are also battling in the relegation zone
