The rain-soaked evening at MTN Omondi Stadium set the stage for an intense battle in the 2nd Leg of the Stanbic Uganda Cup, with Bul FC aiming to continue their momentum from their recent league win against Vipers and wrap it up with a final spot of the tournament.

Despite the first leg ending in a 1 All draw, Bul FC struggled early on with seemingly tired bodies, conceding am early goal to NEC just 7 minutes into the game with a Goal from Joseph Dhata who made it 6 in the tournament and leading the top scorers list.

Quick Tactical changes in the first half with Ibrahim Orit and Lawrence Tezikya coming in for Emmanuel Obua and Reagan Kalyoowa respectively  didn’t immediately turn the tide, as Cromwell Rwothomio extended NEC’s lead with a skillful flick in the 20th minute giving the home side a 3-1 aggregate lead.

Despite a spirited start to the second half by Bul FC, including substitutions with Amos Kirya replacing Bernard Ogwetti , they couldn’t find the breakthrough they desperately needed. Even with Joel Madondo joining the fray in the 68th minute, replacing striker Aprem, Bul FC couldn’t salvage a result, leaving them disappointed as NEC secured the victory.
