Nkumba Lady Marines and Our Saviour Banyabo have secured spots in the National Basketball League (NBL) after advancing to the finals of the FUBA Division One Playoffs.
For Nkumba, the promotion marks a swift return to the top flight just a season after relegation, while Our Saviour Banyabo celebrates a historic debut in the NBL.
Nkumba booked their ticket by defeating Amazon Rhino 3-1 in a best-of-five semifinal series, capping it off with a dominant 61-37 victory in Game Four.
Privas Kayenyi led the way with a stellar double-double of 15 points and 21 rebounds.Linda Mishelle and Brenda Namubiru added 13 and 11 points, respectively.
Despite notable performances from Margaret Nassali (10 points) and Charline Ursula Kirungi (17 rebounds), Amazon Rhino could not mount a successful comeback.
Meanwhile, Our Saviour Banyabo edged Angels in a nail-biting five-game series, clinching Game Five with a 60-59 overtime win.Barbra Gimbo (14 points), Phiona Apiyo (13), and Vivian Faith Onyami (10) delivered clutch performances to secure promotion.

The two promoted teams will replace YMCA Lady Hamstars and Kampala University, who were relegated last season.
Nkumba Lady Marines and Our Saviour Banyabo will now clash in the FUBA Division One Finals to determine the champions.
