AFRICA IS COMING TO EAST AFRICA

In a historic turn of events, the spirit of football is ablaze across East Africa as the PAMOJA BID triumphed, securing the honor of hosting the prestigious 2027 African Cup of Nations in Uganda and the entire region.

For Uganda and its neighboring nations, this announcement is nothing short of a footballing dream come true. The joy is palpable, and the sentiments the echoeing the elation of an entire continent. 

As one passionate fan put it, “Uganda playing in  AFCON after 39 years was sweet, but bringing AFCON to Uganda is more than an orgasm.”

Fufa President Moses Magogo was quick to extend his heartfelt congratulations to the people of East Africa, acknowledging that this remarkable achievement would not have been possible without the unwavering support of HE. President Museveni and the entire Government of Uganda not forgetting the Leaders of the other nations in this bid.

The proposed venues for this grand celebration of football are nothing short of spectacular:

– Mulago Hospital, ready to provide top-notch medical care for the athletes.

– The luxurious Sheraton Hotel and Kampala Serena Hotel to host teams and guests in style.

– Training Grounds at Kampala International School Uganda (KISU) and the vibrant Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku.

– Iconic stadiums including the Mandela National Stadium, Denver Godwin Stadium (Garuga), St. Mary’s Stadium, and Nakivubo Stadium, where roaring crowds would witness footballing magic.

– Exciting plans for new stadiums at Akii Bua Stadium and Hoima to elevate the footballing experience.

– A network of airports, including Entebbe International Airport, Kabalega Airport Hoima, to welcome fans and teams from across Africa.

As the countdown to 2027 begins, East Africa braces itself for an unforgettable journey of footballing excellence. The stage is set, and the world will soon witness the heart and soul of African football converge in the vibrant and welcoming lands of Uganda and East Africa.
