Al Ahly Suffer First Defeat Under New Coach

Ricardo Soares the new Portuguese Coach who signed a 2-year deal replacing Pitso Mosimane suffers first defeat after two games.

Al Ahly who had drawn and won under new coach travelled to Pyramids FC with hopes of winning.

Al Alhy tried to press for an equalizer but the away team were solid at the back.

Substitute Eric Traore added more misery by scoring for Pyramids on the 68th minute.

Pyramids held unto the score to finally win 2-0.

Al Ahly are now third on the table with 48 points and two games in hand.

Zamalek still leads the table with 57 points, 9 points more than Al Ahly.

The Championship hopes are slimming for the Egyptian Champions.
