Wednesday – Algeria men’s senior soccer team head coach Madjid Bougherra has named the 28 players he feels are best fit to represent the nation at the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2022 in Algeria.

The squad comprises three goalkeepers, ten defenders, seven midfielders, and eight forwards.

Algeria, who are participating in CHAN for the second time after the 2011 edition in Sudan, are in group A alongside Libya, Ethiopia, and Mozambique. The Algerians will kickstart their tournament on Friday 13 January against Libya (20h00 local time).

The teams in Group A will play their matches at the Nelson Mandela stadium in Baraki. The other three stadiums that will host CHAN matches include Miloud-Hadefi (Oran), Chahid-Hamlaoui (Constantine), and the 19-May 1956 (Annaba).

The 7th TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2022 will take place in Algeria between 13 January – 4 February 2022.
