BSAFCON: Sand cranes win their first game

Uganda sand cranes earned a deserved 4-3 win over arch rivals Tanzania in the group A match day 2 of the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations.

Jaruph Rajab Juma (2), Stephanie Wallis Napunalo scored for Tanzania, while Ssimbwa Swaleh, Waswa Emmanuel Alex and Kawawulo Isa (2) made the difference for Uganda.

The Uganda sand cranes were scheduled to play DR Congo on Wednesday, 26 May. However the Congolese withdrew from the tournament for unclear reasons.

The sand cranes are currently second with three points behind Senegal who top group A.
