BUL FC SHOOT OUT KCCA FC TO PROGRESS TO NEXT CUP ROUND

BUL secured their spot in the semi-finals of the 50th edition of the Stanbic Uganda Cup after defeating KCCA 6-5 in a penalty shootout. The match ended in a 1-1 draw after full-time and extra time at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

Alex Kitata scored for BUL within the first ten minutes, countered by Etienne Katenga for KCCA in the 14th minute.

Despite chances for both teams, no further goals were scored, leading to a penalty shootout. BUL’s Ibrahim Kazindula, Ibrahim Mugulusi, Joel Mutakubwa, Ronald Otti, Walter Ochora, and Pascal Ngobi found the net, while KCCA’s Mustafa Mujuzi, Mustafa Kizza, Joel Sserunjogi, Filbert Obenchan, and Emmanuel Loki also scored, with Joram Kiirya missing for BUL and Herbert Achai and Peter Magambo for KCCA.

BUL now joins Pajule Lions and NEC in the semi-finals, with the last spot to be determined in the upcoming match between Vipers and Kitara.
