Coach Mudoola selects 28 players to take part in Rugby Africa Cup in France.
1 min readRugby Cranes coach Fred Mudoola selected 28 players to take part in this year’s Rugby Africa Cup out of the 35 players.
The tournament will take place between 1st July to the 10th of July 2022 in France.
” We have named the final squad of 28 players and those dropped will join the team during the Elgon Cup next month.” Coach Mudoola said.
The 28 players to take part in the tournament invlude; Faraj Oduga, Pius Ogena, Solomon Okia, Joaquim Chissano, Scott Olwoch, Mark Omoding, Philip Wokorach, Conrad Wanyama, Santos Ssenteza, Lawrence Ssebuliba, Alema Ruhweza, Joseph Oyet and Micheal Otto.
The other players include; Timothy Odongo, Jacob Uhuru, James Mugisha, Asuman Mugerwa, Alhaji Manano, Ivan Magomu, Akera Komakech, Kibowa Collin, Ronald Kanyanya, Joseph Aredo, Thomas Gwokto, Emong Paul and Robert Aziku.
Uganda will take on their neighbour Kenya in the quarter final fixtures of the Rugby Africa Cup.
In 2007 in Madagascar, Uganda beat Kenya 24-12 in the semi final of the continental Cup.
As a coach, Mudoola would love to replicate the same results as he faces the same team in the same tournament as a coach 15 years later.
