English Preparations for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations 2027 continues in East Africa.
A high-level CAF delegation has concluded an eight-day inspection visit of key facilities in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania as preparations continue for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda (PAMOJA) 2027.
The continental showpiece returns to East Africa for the first time in more than five decades, with Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda set to jointly host the tournament from 19 June to 17 July 2027.In Kenya, the delegation inspected the newly constructed 60,000-capacity Talanta Stadium, together with training venues, team and match official hotels, airport facilities and other key sites forming part of Nairobi’s tournament infrastructure.
The inspection then continued in Uganda and Tanzania, where CAF assessed the readiness of key stadiums, training sites, hotels, airports and supporting facilities. Among the venues inspected were the Mandela National Stadium in Kampala and Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
Key representatives of the LOC also formed part of a CAF-led observer mission at the recent TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where they gained first-hand experience of stadium operations, security, media and matchday delivery.
The visits forms part of CAF’s wider inspection programme across Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania and sees CAF continue its technical inspections and engagements with the host countries to ensure world-class facilities and infrastructure for next year’s tournament.
Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda are building on the success of their joint hosting of the recent TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024, providing a strong foundation as they prepare to welcome Africa and the rest of the world to East Africa.
