FUFA mourns the death of former Presidential award winner

Former footballer Sells Joselynene has been confirmed dead by the Federation of Uganda.

Mr. Selle Josylene, a 2019 FUFA Presidential awardee passed away on 4th May at Lacor Hospital.

Selle played for Northern Province. He won the then famous Madhvani cup also known as GOSSAGE CUP in 1972.

A statement by FUFA read

“FUFA is deeply saddened by the demise of 2019 FUFA Presidential Award Winner Mr. Selle Josylene who passed away on 4th May at Lacor Hospital.

Our sincere condolences go out to the family of Mr. Selle, football stakeholders in Moyo and entire West Nile Region FA.

Selle a regular player for Northern Province (covering the area from Arua, Gulu & Lira). Winning the then famous Madhvani cup also known as GOSSAGE CUP in 1972.

Played alongside players like, now late Parry Oketch, Okee, David Otti, Ezaga of Arua.

Mentored many sportsmen and women on the
field and administration.”

The burial information has since not been shared.
