Kataka FC and Blacks Power clash for the top as Proline takes the relegation survival battle to Kyetume.

As we head into the 19th game week of the FUFA Big League, Kataka FC, Black Powers FC, Kyetume FC and Maroons FC are all battling for promotion in the Startimes Uganda Premier League next season with two league games remaining.

Kataka FC and Black Powers FC lockhorns this afternoon at Mbale Municipal grounds (Mbale) in a battle for top of the league with both teams having the same number of points (36) and goal difference (16).

Kataka FC beat Ndejje University 2-0 in their previous game earning maximum points which took them on top while Black Powers FC missed a chance to go two points clear on the table after a 2-2 draw at Proline in Match Day 18.

Both teams require maximum points this afternoon to increase their chances of getting promoted next season as the league comes to it’s climax soon.

Mukono based side, Kyetume FC are currently in the 3rd place, a point behind the joint leaders who are playing each other today will host Proline FC who sit in the 9th place at 22 points.

Proline FC, fresh from a 2-2 draw against Black Powers FC in their previous game will have to do more against Kyetume FC in their bid for survival next season.

A win for Kyetume will place them at 37 points while maximum points for Proline will take them upto 25 points.

Meanwhile, Maroons who are 4th on the table with 32 points with two games remaining will be hopeful of promotion if they manage to beat a relegated MYDA FC at Prison grounds in Luzira.

Elsewhere, Calvary FC in the 5th place at 26 points visit Kitara FC who are currently 6th at 24 points, two points above relegation.

Ndejje University want to confirm survival in the Big League next season when they visit Luweero United at Kosovo Grounds in Luweero.

Ndejje University are Placed 7th on the log at 23 points, a point above today’s opponents Luweero United who are 8th with 22 points.
