KCCA triumph, Anaku’s goal deepens Onduparaka’s crisis

Onduparaka suffered a home defeat against Lugogo based side KCCA Fc on Sunday evening.

The caterpillars have struggled since the start of the season after losing all their key players.

Fellow Westnile boy Sadat Anaku scored the only goal of the game as the ‘kasasiro‘ boys beat up on the Arua based side.

The in-form striker scored in the 78thminute after a stunning display of saves from Kagiri and finally broke the deadlock.

Both teams created goal scoring opportunities, however KCCA had the better of the caterpillars as they came close to doubling their lead through Charles Lwanga and Sadat Anaku, forcing Kagiri to brilliant saves.

KCCA have now won seven of their nine league encounters against Onduparaka, triumphing in all the previous four meetings scoring 16 goals without conceding any goal.

The loss is Onduparaka’s third in a row since appointing Joseph Mutyaba as manager.

The win moves KCCA up to 4th on the Premier League table with Police dropping to fifth [37 points each] since KCCA has a superior goal difference.

Onduparaka remains 11th with 34 points, and visit Express on Wednesday while KCCA welcome Bright Stars.
