Pochettino’s side who dominated the first minutes of the first half with an early goal from the 15th minute when Marquinhos jumped over the City defence to head in Ángel Di María’s corner, this brought more confidence to the home side as chances continued coming their way before the end of halftime.
Manchester city looked a different side at the start of second half as more pressure was applied to PSG defence this called for Navas oftenly to make saves. Kevin De Bruyne opened the scoring for City when his cross was wrongly misjudged by the PSG defence and caught Navas off guard as it rolled in the net, with the score now tied 1-1 city added more pressure and in the 71st minute Riyad Mahrez’s scored a beautiful free-kick past Keylor Navas to make it 2-1 for the visiting English team.
Idris Guaye got his matching orders after being shown the red card by the German center Referee in the 77th minute and PSG went on to suffer it’s eighth home defeat of the season with the score line of 2-1 in favor of the Englishmen. PSG will require to assemble it’s Arsenal when the sides meet again next Tuesday in Manchester for a place in the final.
