URA today will host Onduparaka football club at the Arena of visions – Bombo in a bid to extend their lead at the top of the table.
The tax collectors won 3-0 away at Onduparaka in the first leg, thanks to goals from Mukwala Steven (2) and Cromwell Rwothomio.
URA will look to seek for redemption after being ejected from the Uganda cup last Tuesday. They will also look to extend their unbeaten run of five matches in the league.
This will be the 9th meeting between the two sides since Onduparaka’s promotion to the UPL in 2016. URA has since won 4 games, 3 draws, and 1 loss against the caterpillars.
A win for URA means they will move 4 points away from second placed Vipers who play KCCA on Sunday.
Team news – Steven Mukwala returns to the side. Goalkeeper Nafian Alionzi, Michael Birungi and Cromwell are out injured. Nunda Jackson underwent knee injury and will miss the rest of the season.
Meanwhile for Onduparaka, Kabon Living and Joel Jangayambe will miss today’s encounter die to accumulated yellow cards.
Matata Gabriel and Okocha Rashid didn’t travel with the team die to injuries. The rest of the squad members are fit for the game.
The caterpillars are in a poor run of form losing their last four games in a row. They will look to bounce back against the table leaders.
Onduparaka has tough fixtures in May as they will travel to Mbarara to face the teranga lions next after URA game; they will return home to welcome Bright Stars and end the month away at Bul.
