Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 32 Teams Shift Focus from UPL to Knockout Action.

As Match 17 of the Uganda Premier League (UPL) concludes, all teams are now setting their sights on the Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 32. The UPL will resume on March 1 with Match 18, with the fixture release expected soon.

The Uganda Cup will feature three all-UPL clashes:

Vipers SC vs Mbarara City

Wakiso Giants FC vs Maroons FC

Police FC vs Bright Stars FC

These matches will be decided by penalty shootouts if they remain level after 90 minutes.

Mbale Heroes is the only UPL side missing from this stage, having been eliminated by Simba FC, a Buganda Regional team.

Rwenzori Lions vs Buhimba United Saints – Rusese Airlines, Kasese

Total vs Express – Swinga Stadium, Yumbe

Thursday, February 20

CATDA vs Kitara – Kakungulu Memorial, Kibuli

Kaaro Karungi vs Busia Young – Ntungamo

Vipers vs Mbarara City – Kitende

Monday, February 24

Calvary vs Lugazi – Midingo, Yumbe

Kataka vs Odramacaku – Mbale City Stadium

Police vs Bright Stars – Kavumba Recreation

BUL vs Bugoigo Leopards – (TBC)

Tuesday, February 25

Mabira TC vs URA – Nyakasanga Ground, Kasese

Kuluva Rainbow vs KCCA – Hospital Arena, Arua

Packwach Youngstar vs UPDF – St Mary’s Omach

NEC vs Blacks Power – Omondi Stadium, Lugogo

Wednesday, February 26

Maroons vs Wakiso Giants – Luzira

After this round, the victorious teams will progress to the Round of 16, scheduled from March 17 to March 25, 2025.
