TotalEnergies CAFCL: Mamelodi Sundowns welcome Egypt’s Al Ahly in South Africa.
2 min readMamelodi Sundowns will play against Al Ahly tomorrow in their fourth game of group B in the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League at 4pm EAT.
They are currently 2 points behind group B leaders Al-Hilal Omdurman of Sudan who have 9 points from four games played. A win for Sundowns against Al Ahly tomorrow will put them on top with 10 points.
Both teams have three wins in their last five games, in their league and CAF games all together.
The first leg between these two teams saw them share one point after it ended in a draw 2-2 with Morena Thapelo securing a point for the Brazilians in the 80th minute to make it 2-2.
Mohamed Abdelmonem and Hussein El Shahat scored Al Ahly goals while Namibia’s Peter Shalulile opened the score sheet for Sundowns before Morena closed it.
