U20 AFCON Quarter final Draw – Uganda take on Nigeria

Tuesday – Uganda will face Nigeria in the TotalEnergies U20 AFCON quarter-finals in one of four exciting match-ups. The Hippos played out a goalless draw with South Sudan in their last group stage match.

Nigeria finished second in their group with two wins and a loss.

The Quarter-finals will be played between Thursday 02 and Friday 03 February 2023.

Senegal, who won all their group stage matches, take on Benin at the Cairo International Stadium on Thursday at 16h00 local time (14h00 GMT). Senegalese forward Pape Diop is leading the scorers’ chart with four goals.

The Gambia will take on South Sudan on Friday at Haras El Hodoud Stadium in Alexandria (16h00 local time, 14h00 GMT). Ghana topped their group with three wins, while South Sudan qualified for the knockout stages as one of the best third-placed teams.

In what is set to be a mouthwatering clash, Congo will meet Tunisia at Cairo International Stadium in Cairo (19h00 local time, 17h00 GMT).

All the nations that qualify for the semi-finals will earn an automatic place at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
