Seven internationally-based players have joined the Uganda Cranes camp in Morocco ahead of FIFA World Cup qualification matches against Guinea and Somalia on November 17th and 21st, respectively.

Forwards Richard Basangwa, Rogers Mato, and Fahad Bayo have joined the team, along with Abdu Aziz Kayondo, Elvis Bwomono, Khalid Aucho, and central defender Bevis Mugabi.

This brings the total to 23 players in camp, as 16 locally-based stars left on Sunday. The team aims for a strong start to the 2026 World Cup qualifiers under the leadership of head coach Paul Put and assistant coach Sam Ssimbwa. Notably, Bayo plays for MFK Vyskov in the Czech Republic, Basangwa is at Wadi Degla in Egypt, and Mato represents Turkish side Saniliurfaspor.

Other players, including Ismail Watenga, Salim Jamal Magoola, Ibrahim Juma, and Bobosi Byaruhanga, are yet to join the camp.
