Uganda Premier League Second Round Fixtures Announced.

The Uganda Premier League (UPL) Secretariat has officially unveiled the schedule for the second round of the 2024/25 season, which will commence on Tuesday, February 11.

The action kicks off with league leaders Vipers SC hosting URA FC at Kitende, while defending champions SC Villa will travel to face Wakiso Giants in a highly anticipated Matchday 16 clash.

This announcement supersedes an earlier report by UPL Manager Paul Kabaikaramu, which had indicated a January restart.

Opening Fixtures:

Tuesday, February 11

Wakiso Giants vs SC Villa – Wakissha

Vipers vs URA – Kitende

Wednesday, February 12

Lugazi vs Police – Najjembe

Maroons vs Bright Stars – Luzira

Express vs BUL – Nakivubo

Thursday, February 13

Mbale Heroes vs Mbarara City – Mbale

UPDF vs Kitara – Bombo

NEC vs KCCA – Lugogo

The revised schedule includes short breaks to accommodate other competitions such as the Uganda Cup, FUFA Drum, and FIFA International Window.

The second round will conclude on Saturday, May 25, with the final three matchdays (28, 29, and 30) scheduled to take place on the same day to preserve competitive integrity.

This early end to the season ensures time for national team activities, including Uganda’s participation in the FIFA Club World Cup Qualifiers and preparations for the rescheduled 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
