UPL Wrap – Vipers Secure Massive Win as Wakiso Giants go Top of the Table

Vipers SC won their third successive game of the 2022/23 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season after a comfortable 4-0 win over UPDF FC at St. Mary’s Stadium on Friday evening.

UPDF defender Rogers Adriko put the ball into the back of his own net after a well delivered cross from Vipers’ skipper Milton Karisa to give the venoms an early lead.

Yunus Ssentamu marked his return with a sublime goal to double the hosts lead with sixteen minutes to time.

The ‘hitman’ went on to add two more goals within a space of 5 minutes to complete his hat-trick.

Vipers Have now moved to the third position, level on points with second placed Bul FC and Express FC shifting to the fourth position with an inferior goal difference.

Wakiso Giants take top spot

Wakiso Giants have climbed to the top of the table after edging Gaddafi 1-0 at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.

Shariph Kimbowa scored from the penalty spot for the hosts in the 44th minute.

Rahmat Ssenfuka extended the hosts lead in the 77th minute.

Wakiso Giants have now pulled Bul FC off the top of the table.

The Purple Sharks sit top of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League table for the first time this season on 17 points, three behind Bul FC and Express FC respectively.
