URA FC’s hopes for this season’s league title suffered yet another big blow after losing to BUL FC in Jinja on Monday.

URA went in the game with the aim of bridging the gap between them and the table leaders Vipers but suffered a shocking loss of 2-0 to BUL FC at Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe.

A brace from their own former midfielder Richard Wandyaka harmed the tax collectors with a goal in each half.

In the 33rd minute, Richard Wandyaka had to put the ball in the back of the net after Hillary Onek tipped him up to strike past URA’s goalkeeper Nafian Alionzi who just made a return to goal after his expedition with Uganda Cranes in Uzbekistan last week.

With five minutes to an hour mark, wandyaka had to shrink URA’s hopes further in the second half of the game finishing off a clear pass from Karim Ndugwa to double the hosts’ lead.

Alex Isabirye’s side eventually had to pick up the maximum points and thus remaining 4th on the table the league with 41 points.

Tax collectors are second with 43 points, six behind the table leaders Vipers SC
