URUWesternRegion7s: Tooro Lions beat Mbarara Titans to win the Kabale 7s.

Tooro Lions won the first final of the 2023 Uganda Rugby Union Western Region 7s with a 21-05 victory against their rivals Mbarara Titans.

Mbarara Titans who led the game in first minutes with a superb try from Hoofer couldn’t believe the scoreline by the end of the game.

Tooro Lions have since won two consecutive final games against Mbarara Titans ,one being the Western Rugby League Final back in April.

“It was a tough one to take but everything happens for a reason. I strongly believe if we can work together [fans players and technical stuff] we can continue bringing in better results and more championships.” ~Mbarara Titans Ass. Coach Keith Mbanawe remarks after the game.

The Western Region 7s Series started with the Kabale7s and had 16 men’s teams and 5 women’s teams battling it out.

The games took place last Saturday 24th June at Kabale Municipal Stadium.
