Walusimbi Completes Move To Scottish Premiership Side

Former Express FC and Uganda Cranes defender Enock Walusimbi has completed a move to Scottish Premiership side Peterhead FC.

“Peterhead are delighted to announce the signing of Ugandan internationalist defender Enock Walusimbi.

“The 23-year-old defender is another piece in the rebuilding jigsaw carried out by manager Jim McInally who has had to be patient in his pursuit of Walusimbi, who as well as playing for his national side four times, is the captain of their under-23 international side.

Head coach Jim confessed that Walusimbi had been on the radder of the club for a while.

“We made a move for Enock about four weeks ago and there have been a few hurdles to overcome but the contract has been signed now which is a huge step forward and a bit of a coup for the club.

“We are now just awaiting clearance from the Scottish Football Association and his work visa. We said we would leave no stone.”

Walusimbi becomes the second Ugandan to move to Scotland in a space of a wee after former KCCA FC forward Sadat Anaku signed for Dundee United.

Peterhead Football Club is based in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The club earned promotion to play in Scottish League One after being promoted during the 2018–19 season.
