German Warriors and Elgon wolves set for the URU Championship semi final fixture replay.

Uganda Rugby Union has ordered a replay of the championship semi final fixture between Warriors RC and Elgon Wolves RC.
Elgon Wolves after fielding of ineligible players in the Championship semifinal pairing that ended 15:10 in their favor, Warriors later contested the outcome of fixture that was played last Saturday 3rd June 2023 with an appeal to the Uganda Rugby Union.
Warriors’ appeal referred to World Rugby Regulation 4.5.8 requiring player registration in host Union. World Rugby regulation 4 cover player status, contracts and movement between clubs and unions.
URU further detailed out the appeals committee findings and rulings of the appeal in an official statement.
Kitintale Eagles who won their semi final fixture 21-11 against Gulu falcons were set to clash against the Elgon Wolves in the Championship playoffs finals 2023 this Saturday 10th,2023.
The Championship Final was postponed to 17th June 2023 and the venue is yet to be communicated.
The 2023 championship playoffs that had eight teams fighting for the one promotion spot in the national top flight league is yet to come to the apex with only two teams set for the final.
