The Butiki League is getting big and better each every other match day. The butiki league match day 4 went down on Saturday 30th July 2022 at Arya Samaj with a huge crowd.
After spending the whole last season without being in action at his club, KCCA FC due to an injury, Wasswa Emma who is just getting back on stage came through to represent his class team in the Butiki league called Blue dollar FC and through his efforts, the team managed to Win a game and drew the other with 2 goals on his name.
“It’s a great honor to be here meeting up with my OBS it’s been a while and I want to thank the league organizers for coming with this great initiative because it is one way we can easily meet and grow social capital.” Wasswa Emma.
Nyulya FC is not taking anything for granted in the league as they won both games keeping them at the top of the with 23 points.
Webster, a player of Nyulya FC who happens to be the league’s top scorer had a memorable day being his birthday and scored two goals pushing him to 15 goals. In his words, “this is the best birthday I have celebrated in a while indeed butiki league is family and I feel so happy scoring 2 goals on my birthday.”
Canary Mugume being a brand ambassador of one of the league sponsors, Purifaaya made a courtesy appearance at the venue and had a great time with the boys as games we going on.
Counsel Musangala Simon Peter, an old boy who doubles as the official sponsor of 3 teams was in attendance and made contributions so that the butiki league runs smoothly to get where it’s supposed to be.
The newly acquired sponsors of the league, Safe Boda made activations and gave discounts to people that were coming from various places to attend the league.
The next match day of the Butiki League is slated to happen on the 27th of August 2022 at Arya Samaj playground, Kololo
