World Rugby Sevens Challenger Series 2023; Uganda Sevens 13-man squad named.

As we draw closer to the World Rugby Sevens Challenger Series 20-22 and 28-30 April, the Uganda Sevens Coach Tolbert Onyango has named his final 13-man squad that he hopes is ready for the challenger series that will take place at Markotter Stadium in Stellenbosch.

With some of the familiar faces from the 2022 World rugby challenger series in Chile missing on the list, the 19-man squad Uganda Sevens squad that was summoned has been training in its camp at the Stellenbosch Academy of Sports for the past two weeks.

Uganda Sevens are drawn in Pool C with Korea Republic, Jamaica and Brazil.

Uganda Sevens 13-Man squad named for the world rugby sevens challenger series.

Philip Wokorach misses out while Toyota Buffaloes’ Aaron Tukei and Rhinos Rugby’s Allan Olango have made it to the Uganda Sevens final squad and are yet to make their debuts in the challenger series.

Uganda Sevens Thursday 20th fixtures:

Uganda Vs Brazil 11:28 EAT

Uganda Vs Jamaica 14:32  EAT

The winner, at the end of the two rounds of this Challenger Series will progress to playoffs at the London Sevens in May with hopes of promotion to the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series 2024.
