2 min readMakerere University Business School (MUBS) hosted kyambogo University in the second leg of the quarter finals after winning 1-2 in the 1st leg and aggregate (1-2) in the Pepsi University football league.
MUBS came in today, the 11th of October 2022 as favorites for this encounter. The game kicked off at exactly 3 PM. In the 7th minute, Sharif Sengedo scored a free kick to give the hosts an early lead. The visitors kept pressing hard and 3 minutes to half an hour mark, Kwanga Joel leveled for the Banda- based university with a strike of a goal outside the penalty area.
Teams came back for the last stanza of the game as the Nakawa boys got many opportunities but denied by the short stopper Andrew Ahebwomugisha.
In the 90+1 minute, the hosts were sent into a shock after a tap in by Pius from a corner kick to bring the scores to 1-2 and 3-3 aggregate.
The late winner automatically sent the game to spot kicks.

The kyambogo university players converted all the four penalties with Nsamba Peter scoring the 4th that sent the visitors to the semi finals.
Today’s win ended the MUBS unbeaten to run by kyambogo University.
