Joel Mutakubwa linked with move to KCCA FC

Born on July 17, 1995 in Kampala, Mutakubwa is an experienced goalkeeper in the Uganda Premier League. He joined BUL FC in July 2023. He previously played for Express FC—helping them clinch the league title in 2021—and has also featured for Tooro United, Kyetume, and Busoga United. Contractually, his agreement with BUL FC runs through the end of June 2025.

Joel Mutakubwa, the 30‑year‑old Ugandan goalkeeper currently under contract with BUL Jinja FC until June 30, 2025, has reportedly attracted strong interest from Kampala Capital City Authority FC (KCCA FC). Transfermarkt’s forum thread, citing Brian Kawalya, highlights that Mutakubwa is “strongly linked with a move to KCCA FC. No official confirmation has been made by either BUL FC or KCCA FC, and the rumored transfer remains speculative at this stage. 

At present, the move remains purely speculative. There is no official confirmation from KCCA FC or BUL FC. The speculation is based solely on social media buzz and forum discussion as of July 25, 2025. Should either club confirm a transfer, you can expect official announcements in the coming days.
