AFCON U20 – Uganda and Congo share spoils
Friday – Congo came back from behind to earn a point against Uganda that means victory over Central African Republic (CAR) on the Sunday will see them finish top of Group B and qualify for the round of 16.

CAR and Association Sportive Etoile’s Josna Loulendo opened the scoring after powering home Prince Aldy Soussou Ilendo’s corner at the near post.
Uganda leveled the scores through Titus Ssematimba who slotted home from close range finish following a goalkeeping error by Christophe Wamba.
The CECAFA champions deservedly took the lead after the half hour mark when Isma Mugulusi’s perfectly timed layoff was well taken in by Saidi Mayanja.

The Young Red Devils were reduced to ten men after captain Claude Ngongara was sent off in first half stoppage time for a second bookable offence.
Uganda returned rejuvenated for the second half and created a couple of chances, with foward Dembe missing two of them.

Congo finally leveled matters 18 minutes from time through defensive midfielder Prince Mombouli who powerfully headed the ball past Hippos goalkeeper Magada.
The result leaves Uganda second in Group B, level on points with table leaders Congo. The Hippos will play neighbors South Sudan in their last group stage match on Sunday.
