Substitute Eric Traore added more misery by scoring for Pyramids on the 68th minute.
Pyramids held unto the score to finally win 2-0.
Al Ahly are now third on the table with 48 points and two games in hand.
Zamalek still leads the table with 57 points, 9 points more than Al Ahly.
The Championship hopes are slimming for the Egyptian Champions.
