BUL FC Secures Crucial Victory Over Vipers SC, Returns to Summit of Uganda Premier League

BUL FC reclaimed the top spot in the Uganda Premier League after securing a vital 1-0 victory over Vipers SC. The Eastern Giants’ win over their formidable opponents has set the stage for an exciting finish to the season, with only three matches remaining.

Jeromy Kirya scored the only goal of the match.

The match started with Vipers SC showing early attacking intent, with Allan Okello testing BUL FC goalkeeper Tom Ikara in the fifth minute. However, luck was not on their side as Fumador Asiwome’s effort struck the crossbar soon after.

As the game progressed, both teams struggled to create clear-cut chances in a tightly contested affair. But it was BUL FC who eventually broke the deadlock in the 26th minute through Jerome Kirya. Alex Kitata’s precise delivery found Kirya, who made no mistake in slotting the ball past Vipers’ goalkeeper Alfred Mudekereze, sending the home crowd into raptures.

Former Uganda Cranes Coach Micho was at Mandela National Stadium for the Uganda Premier League double header.

Heading into halftime with a narrow lead, BUL FC remained resolute in defense to thwart any attempts by Vipers SC to equalize. The second half saw both teams trading blows, but BUL FC held firm to maintain their advantage.

Manager Abbey Kikomeko made strategic substitutions to shore up his side’s defense and maintain their lead. Martin Aprem and Gerald Ogweti were introduced to provide fresh legs, while Emmanuel Obua and Lawrence Tezikya came on late in the game to see out the result.
