CECAFA U-18: Uganda humiliate Burundi

Uganda U-18 Women National Team registered their biggest win after thumping Burundi 8-1 in the CECAFA U-18 Women’s Championship.

The win ensured that the U-18 team maintained their 100% record in the championship.

Uganda were the dominant side for all the 90 minutes.

Agnes Nabukenya opened the scoring in the 5th minute before Kamiyat Naigaga added a second after the half hour mark.

Kamiyat Naigaga added her second and Uganda’s third right after restart of the second half. Skipper Phionah Nabulime made it four before the hour mark.

Allen Nasaazi worsened Burundi’s after making it five goals at the hour mark.

Super substitute Shamsa Najjuma scored a brace to burry the game beyond a come back.

Uganda opened her campaign with a 1-0 win over Ethiopia before securing a 3-0 victory against Zanzibar.

The victory against Burundi has set up a title decider against hosts Tanzania in the final game.
