CECAFA U-20 Zonal Qualifiers – Uganda Hippos out to Retain Championship against South Sudan
Thursday – Uganda and South Sudan will face off in the finals to determine the Champion of the CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers today at Hilal Stadium.

Uganda U-20 Men’s National Team, The Hippos defeated Sudan in the semi-finals to progress to the 2023 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations. Defender Rogers Torach and captain Isma Mugulusi were on target to ensure the Hippos made it to their second successive tournament.

South Sudan beat Ethiopia 4-2 on penalties to secure the other slot.
The Hippos featured at the last edition of the continental showpiece in 2021 where they dragged on until the finals after thrashing Tunisia 4-1 in the semi-final at Stade Cheikha Ould Boïdiya in Mauritania before losing the championship to Ghana.
