Jack Grealish joins Man City on a six year contract.
The Premier League Champions have completed the signing of Aston Villa captain, Jack Grealish after their £100 million bid was accepted by the Midlands club.
The deal has officially been announced by the Manchester club and Grealish will take up shirt number 10, formerly worn by Sergio Aguero who left the club for Barcelona earlier in the transfer window.
The £100 million fee now stands as the club record fee previously held by the Portuguese International, Rúben Dias’ £61.8 million switch from Benfica last summer.
Speaking to City’s website, Grealish said: “I am incredibly happy to have joined Manchester City. This is the best team in the country with a manager considered to be the best in the world, it’s a dream come true to be part of this club.“
Pep’s side will be looking to compete for a European title after losing to the London side, Chelsea in the Champions League finals earlier in May.
Grealish who scored six goals and providing 12 assists last campaign in a season where he spent some time at the sidelines due to injuries is expected to perform even better playing alongside world class players in Pep’s side.
