Makerere University returns to the Pepsi University Football League after four years.

Makerere University makes a return to the Pepsi university football league today 12th April 2022 against YMCA Comprehensive institute at the Makerere university main ground and kick off will be 4:00Pm.


For the past four years, Makerere university has been serving a ban due to hooliganism.

Muk head coach, Kasozi is convinced that his boys are all in good shape and ready for the game.

“As a team, we are very ready for the game because we have been training extensively. Everyone is in good shape and we are just waiting to play”. MUK head coach, Kasozi William said.

“Everyone is excited and discipline will be key both on and off pitch if we are to have a successful campaign this season. We have all what it takes to go all the way but then discipline will be the paramount both on and off pitch”. He added.

On the other hand, YMCA is also very ready to battle it out with MUK though their head coach, Muhammad Ssembatya knows it will be a tough one for his boys.


“It will not be easy playing at makerere. We know it will a tough atmosphere but our focus will be on the pitch and I believe we shall away with the maximum 3 points”. Coach Ssembatya said.
