Onduparaka’s Winless Streak Continues as Bul Extend Lead at the Top of the Table

Wednesday – Onduparaka FC suffered their second defeat of the 2022/23 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season after falling to table leaders Bul FC at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.

Assistant Coach Hamza Kalanzi dropped Ojara for Yakin Rashid. Young star Munir Saidi and Asimwe Kenneth were handed their full debuts.

On-form striker Karim Ndugwa beautifully headed in the only goal of the game with 9-minutes to time.

The visitors stood up to the The Jinja Bulls for most of the first 45 minutes. However, head coach Alex Isabirye made a tactical double substitution bringing on Denis Mwemezi and Ibrahim Mugulusi for Pascal Ngobi and Hillary Onek respectively.

Substitute Denis Mwemezi was later withdrawn and replaced by Ivan Wani from the game after sustaining an injury.

Bul FC have won 4 out of 6 games, registering 2 draws and are yet to lose a game this season. Meanwhile, Onduparaka FC are yet to win a game after 6 games and sit bottom of the 2022/23 StarTimes Uganda Premier League table.

Up next for Bul FC is a trip to Wankulukuku Stadium to face Express FC. Onduparaka will welcome Busoga United at Bombo Military Barracks in their next game.
