Vipers SC President Lawrence Mulindwa praised Robertinho for his winning mentality and understanding of the game, and promised him all the support to make Vipers the number one club not only in Uganda but also Africa.

Shocking! Robertinho sacked by Vipers

Thursday – Roberto Oliviera aka Robertinho has been sacked as Vipers SC manager after over a year in charge.

Robertinho replaced Fred Kajoba, who left the club towards the close of last season.

Club statement
“Vipers Sports Club announces that Mr. Roberto Oliveira alias Robertinho has left his role as the head coach with immediate effect.

“The club would like to thank Robertinho for his tireless efforts as the head coach during his time at the club and wish him success in the future.

“The Club shall in the shortest time possible come out with a statement on the technical bench leadership following the coach’s departure.”

Vipers are currently third on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League table on level points with second placed Bul FC (27) and two points behind table leaders KCCA FC.

Vipers SC were crowned champions of the 2021/2022 Star Times Uganda Premier League season in Robertinho’s first season in the league. The Venoms were declared champions two weeks before the season climaxed.

The Kitende based side completed the season in style with a 5-0 thrashing of relegated Police FC in their last match played at St. Mary’s stadium in Kitende.
