Transfer: Sancho and Dortmund dilemma resumes
Borussia Dortmund qualified for the UEFA Champions League after a comfortable 3-1 away win over Mainz.
Dortmund are also the 2020-2021 DFB Pokal champions after running riot against Leipzig in the finals.
Jadon Sancho was key in their qualification as the English man scored 8 goals and provided 11 assists so far in the Bundesliga this season. He also scored six times in the DFB Pokal tournament.
However, the former Manchester city attacker has been a topic of discussion in the last two transfer windows, attracting interest from a number of English clubs.
Manchester United for a long time have been chasing the young English man, and have since maintained their strong interest in the forward. The initial deal collapsed in the last minute during the 2019/20 season as Man United couldn’t agree with Dortmund on the fee.
However the club has reignited interest in the 21-year old with the option of including Jesse Lingard as part of the deal. Lingard is in fine form currently on loan at West ham.
Dortmund want more than 100 million pounds for their star player. It remains to be seen whether Man United will finally land their man.
The red devils currently have a shortage in wings with Rashford being inconsistent on the left, Greenwood trying his best without a quality backup while Daniel James is not a seasonal winger.
