UPL Results – Arua Hill lose as Vipers and Maroons win, UPDF holds URA FC

The StarTimes Uganda Premier League match day one has come to an end with surprise results.

West Nile’s Arua Hill SC have lost their opening fixture of a Premier League campaign for the first time after falling to Busoga United at Paridi Stadium.

Isaac Doka Mweru scored the only goal of the match in the 15th minute.

In a team comprising of entirely new faces, Richard Anyama, Gadafi Wahab and Abdulahi Rashid are the only three starters from the previous campaign that featured in today’s match.

The Kongolo’s next match is against resigning league champions Vipers SC at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende on Thursday 21 September.

Vipers SC won their match against Gaddafi FC in Jinja. Skipped Milton Karisa opened his venoms account immediately.

Meanwhile, Wakiso Giants tasted defeat in the hands of Maroons FC in the biggest surprise of the day.
