US Monastir beat Petro de Luanda to win the Basketball Africa League.

US Monastir won the 1st Quarter 18-17 with only one point separating the two teams.

Petro de Luanda pulled back in the 2nd Quarter to keep their title hopes high by winning it 23-15 with a difference of 9 points.

It was a tight game through 3rd and 4th quarters till US Monastir turned out champions of this seasons BAL (Basketball Africa League) after winning in total score 83-72.

Petro de Luanda’ Gonclaves came on top with 28 points through the whole game and assisting 4 times.

Lahyani from US Monastir had the most rebounds in the entire game, 10 rebounds, three more than Moreira of Petro de Luanda who made 7 rebounds.

US Monastir won the trophy for the first time now level with Zamalek, Egypt all with one title.

This is the second time the Basketball Africa League has taken place, the first season took place in 2021 and was won by Zamalek.

12 teams from different countries take part in the league.

BAL former champions, Zamalek took third place this season after beating FAP from Cameroon 97-74 in third place game yesterday.
