German Vipers SC could be Crowned UPL Champions

Vipers SC could be crowned League Champions today if they win their home fixture against Express FC and KCCA FC loses to relegated Tooro United with 4 games left.
The Venoms currently lead the table with 61 points, 14 points more than second placed KCCA FC.
The Venoms have been very excellent this season on home turf. They have gone 9 games undefeated at home ever since losing 2-0 to URA SC in November.
The inconsistency of second placed KCCA FC has helped gift Vipers SC the League Championship with games to spare.
KCCA FC’s 2-1 home defeat against the table leaders killed all hopes of the Lugogo based side of clinching the League trophy since winning it in 2019.
In the previous fixture with Express FC, Vipers SC needed a late goal from defender Livingstone Mulondo to rescue a point at Wankulukuku Stadium, game ended 2-2.
Express FC’s last visit to Kitende saw them pick up maximum points, winning by a single goal scored by John Byamukama in April 2021.
The Venoms will need services of their star man Cesar Manzoki to fire in the goals, Manzoki who has been on top form leads the top scorer’s leaderboard with 16 goals.
