Vipers SC vs Express FC: Team News, Head to Head, Prediction

With four games to spare, Vipers SC is en route to their fifth Uganda Premier League title in case they pick maximum points or earn one at home against Express FC.

The Venoms have collected 61 points in 25 League games this season, one more against The Red Eagles will be enough to grant Roberto Oliveira his first League honor.

Vipers SC gets into this fixture having eliminated Wakiso Giants from the Stanbic Uganda Cup by 3-1, courtesy of Boboosi Byaruhanga and a second-half brace from Yunus Sentamu.

Meanwhile, Express FC lost their previous League game at home to Onduparaka FC and will look to bounce back against the likely Champions.

The Red Eagles will be hoping to continue their perfect record against Vipers SC. They are unbeaten against Vipers S.C in the last three league outings. The last League meeting between the two sides ended in a draw at Wankulukuku.

Team News

Head Coach Robertinho has a full squad at his disposal. Yunus Sentamu has returned to the side having missed the last League game against Gaddafi FC through suspension.

Siraje Sentamu is fully back and in contention, after the midfielder was stretched off during Sunday’s Stanbic Uganda Cup quarterfinal triumph over Wakiso Giants FC.

Express FC will be without skipper Enock Walusimbi and midfielder Daniel Shabene who are both suspended for this fixture.

Murushid Juuko, left-back Sadiq Ssekyembe and midfielder Charles Musiige are yet to pass a late fitness test.

Midfielders Mahad Yaya Kakooza and Godfrey Lwesibawa are both unavailable.

Thoughts of Interim Express FC Head Coach James Odoch

“Vipers is a strong and organized team, basically we’ve been working on our defense, Vipers are good at scoring through crosses like was the case in our last two meetings where they scored through the wings so all we have to do is cut off the wing supply but also we need to keep the ball more so that we frustrate them, I am certain if we do that well, we shall definitely earn maximum points”.https://expressfc.co.ug/

Paul Mucureezi speaks out

“We are definitely ready to win but we don’t need to come with excitement that we have already won the trophy yet we haven’t. So, we need to come when we are ready for carson, have the aggressiveness that we usually have, the attitude of the players really matters a lot in the game tomorrow”http://www.viperssc.co.ug/
